2018 Motor Mill Art Show – That’s a Wrap!

Over 100 visitors came to Motor Mill on a hot September afternoon to enjoy the 2nd Annual Motor Mill Art Show.  Tours, music, a brand new video telling the story of Motor Mill and beautiful Mill/northeast Iowa Inspired art greeted guests as they entered the Mill.  A walk around the Mill site provided opportunities to create, view and purchase art as well has have a refreshing treat.  The Motor Mill Foundation is grateful to all vendors and activity providers for making the art fest part of their calendar!  Free Wi-Fi for the day, courtesy of Alpine Communications was much appreciated too!

Thanks to the following vendors/artists and providers of activities.   Guests were met with a welcoming spirit and cheerful friendliness as they shared their talents, creations, and refreshments.  The Motor Mill Foundation is cannot thank these folks enough being part of this event!

  • Abbey Harkrader – creating your own charcoal and draw with it
  • Margaret Stone – beautiful make and take baskets
  • Mark Beck for relaxing ballads with his guitar
  • Darwin Baldridge for fun songs on his banjo

The Motor Mill Foundation was happy to welcome back Kiley Johansen, our summer intern for 2018 and 2017, volunteering to help with this special event!
