Fans of Clayton County’s Motor Mill will have the opportunity to bid on two collectible items featuring the historic mill at the Oct. 11-12 Heritage Days celebration at Osborne Park, south of Elkader.
Mary Witt, of Witt’s Custom Framing and Gallery in Elkader, has donated a matted and framed silkscreen print of Motor, created by the late Wendell Mohr at a workshop at Motor Mill in the 1980s.
Don Menken, former director of the Clayton County Conservation Board, donated a limited edition Motor Mill belt buckle, which was sold in 1986.
Proceeds from the two items will go to the Motor Mill Foundation for continuing work to restore the Mill and associated buildings.
Motor Mill also will be open for tours on both Saturday and Sunday of Heritage Days.
